Jeff Pizzino, a 22-year veteran public relations practitioner, is tasked with expanding Pro Energy Consultants' national brand awareness with an ambitious media relations campaign.
Cleveland, OH, August 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- How does a company reach more consumers with a message about home energy audits being the easiest way for home owners to not only go green, but also reduce energy costs? Simple--by tapping into the expertise of a veteran public relations practitioner.
To help tell its story, Pro Energy Consultants recently announced the addition of Jeff Pizzino to its team as the director of corporate communications. Pizzino will be assisting the company with a myriad of communications duties, including its messaging, media and customer relations, and expansion into the social media arena.
Pro Energy Consultants, the nation's first home energy auditing franchise, provides homeowners with standardized, comprehensive energy audits designed to maximize the home's energy efficiency and reduce energy costs.
"The newsworthiness of Pro Energy Consultants' message is a public relations practitioner's dream," said Pizzino, who began his career in 1987 at PR agency giant Ketchum Public Relations in New York City. "Pro Energy is at the forefront of energy auditing technology and has truly set the standard for this industry. It's a great story to share with the news media."
Pizzino said he plans to make the company's message threefold: First, home energy audits are the easiest way for homeowners to save money; second, know the warning signs that an audit is necessary; and third, know what constitutes a true energy audit.
"The definition of an energy audit sometimes gets diluted," said Pizzino. "We'll emphasize an audit should be very diagnostic and comprehensive, and not just a rating or a recommendation to change to energy efficient light bulbs. Also, it should be offered by an unbiased third party and not by someone with a vested interest in making the recommended improvements."
"We're fortunate to have someone of Jeff's caliber on our team," said Pro Energy Consultants Managing Partner Kris Simonich. "His ability to clearly articulate the mission of our company will be a huge boon to our nearly 30 franchises, as well as to consumers nationwide."
Added Pizzino, "I'm also very impressed at the quality of those who have been awarded franchises in the various markets nationwide and look forward to helping them with their local public relations efforts."
Pizzino has also worked at the corporate headquarters for Johnson & Johnson in New Jersey and the Gemological Institute of America in California, as well as for several start-ups. More recently, Jeff was the Public Relations Manager for The Penta Water Company in Carlsbad, Calif., where he successfully negotiated endorsement deals with some of the world's most well-known athletes and celebrities, including Olympic gold medal swimmers Amanda Beard, Aaron Piersol and Jason Lezak; numerous NFL and NBA players; singer Sting; and the late actress Farrah Fawcett. In addition, he's directed the corporate communications for a $200-million nutritional supplement company in Arizona and has run his own public relations consulting business for more than 10 years.
Jeff has an M.B.A. in Management from Western International University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, with an emphasis in Public Relations, from Brigham Young University.
Pro Energy Consultants, founded in 2008, is the first national franchise in residential energy auditing. Its mission is to provide standardized, comprehensive energy audits designed to maximize the home's energy efficiency and reduce energy costs. Given the current economic conditions, it represents the ideal "green franchise" opportunity by providing franchisees a high-demand business with a low-cost of entry. The company, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, currently has 28 franchises nationwide.
