Great Clips Ranks Among Top Franchises With Numbers Of Multi-Unit Owners

Franchise system ranks #11 on Multi-Unit Franchisee magazine's "MU50" list for 2009

August 28, 2009 // Franchising.com // Rob Goggins, vice president of franchise development for Great Clips, Inc., announced the ranking in an e-newsletter to franchise owners and development staffers.

"A measure of a franchise system's well-being is the number of franchisees who are expanding," said Goggins. "Four hundred and thirty-four Great Clips franchisees--56 percent of our total--own more than one salon. That number ranks us number 11 among all franchise chains."

The MU50 is a joint ranking prepared by FRANdata--the franchise industry's source for objective information and analysis--and magazine published by the Franchise Update Media Group--the management resource for franchisors.

"The ranking is very telling in that Great Clips is one of only two non-food franchises ranked in the top 11, and Great Clips is the only hair salon franchise listed in the entire MU50," said Goggins. "When you consider that we're ranked as high as we are and higher than many food franchises, it speaks well for the health of our concept and the continued investment owners are making in our franchise system."
