August 31, 2009 // Franchising.com // PLANO, TX, - Retail stores have anniversary sales, but a franchise system lowering its price tag? Creative Tutors International is discounting its franchise fee 25 to 40 percent to celebrate its tenth anniversary.
Depending on the size of a school district, Creative Tutors' regular start-up costs range between of $20,000-$45,000. Until December 31, 2009, the cost is $15,000.

"Creative Tutors' ultimate goal goes way beyond this week's tutoring session," said Jan Van Blarcum, Ph.D., Creative Tutors founder. "Children are the fabric of this country, and a child who feels his or her success today will have a positive impact on our country years from now."
Rather than the cookie-cutter approach of a set curriculum, Creative Tutors' one-on-one tutoring is tailored to the specific needs of the student. Creative Tutors' services include working with gifted students who need more challenges in their studies as well as those who are having difficulty reaching their potential and ability level.
"Tutoring is not what it used to be, " said Van Blarcum. "Thirty years ago, children who had tutors were perceived as dumb, but not today. The issue is learning styles, which is why our customized approach is successful."
What began as Creative Learning, LLC in 1999, is now Creative Tutors with 12 franchised locations in Texas, Utah and Colorado servicing 25+ school districts. Other milestones include:
