Inc. Magazine Ranks Instant Tax Service Among Fastest-Growing Businesses

September 01, 2009 // Franchising.com // DAYTON, OH - Inc. magazine ranked Instant Tax Service #93 on its 2009 top 500 fastest-growing privately-owned companies list.

"We've been a top pick among Entrepreneur Magazine's Franchise 500 for years," says Fez Ogbazion, CEO of Instant Tax Service, "but this is the first time we've ranked with Inc. magazine. It's been gratifying to receive so much recognition from the business community."

According to Jane Berentson, editor of Inc. magazine, the list initially debuted in 1991 with the 100 fastest growing private U.S. companies. It then expanded the following year to the Inc. 500 and again in 2007 to the Inc. 5000. The list, she says, has served as evidence of the significant accomplishments of entrepreneurial companies.

As an Inc. 500 honoree, Instant Tax Service shares this distinction with other notable companies including Intuit, GoDaddy, Jamba Juice, Timberland, Microsoft, Patagonia, American Apparel, Oracle, and scores of other powerhouses.

Honorees were selected through the measurement of revenue growth from 2005 to 2008. Instant Tax Service - unlike many companies hit hard by the recession - experienced a significant increase in revenue last year. According to Inc., companies included on the list had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent (not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies) as of December 31, 2008.
