Figaro's Opens in Fort Myers, Florida

September 04, 2009 // Franchising.com // Figaro's - a nation-wide franchise with two other locations in Florida that serves pizza, subs and salads - hours to open this month.

The location for Figaro's was a matter of convenience for Teri and Jeffrey Bradley. "We live in Sherwood right behind our restaurant," Teri Bradley said. The couple moved to the area four years ago to be near family in their retirement.

"We were looking at something we could do together," Bradley said. Pizza was the answer when they decided it was tough to get a decent pizza delivered to their house. The restaurant will employ about 30 people, including delivery drivers. Ever since they posted a coming soon message on the big electronic sign in front of the plaza their phone has been ringing with people who want to order one of Figaro's thin, Sicilian or original crust pizzas, Bradley said. We make the dough in the store fresh daily. All of our vegetables are fresh except olives because we don't have an olive tree out back," she said.

Figaro's will sell wings, calzones, subs and salads, plus have karaoke, beer and wine. Pizza also can be made to take home and bake later at the customer's convenience. Food stand can be accepted for the uncooked purchase, Bradley said. The restaurant seats 45. Figaro's, an eat-in or take our restaurant in the Lee Boulevard West Plaza, is excepted to open by the end of the month. The outlet is one of three in Florida. The others are in Pensacola area.
