San Jose, CA --(PR.com)-- Happi House Restaurants announced today that the company has just served its 20-millionth piece of teriyaki chicken. The company, which began in 1976 in San Jose's Japantown, is famous for its "bone-in" teriyaki chicken and calculates that the 20-millionth piece was served earlier this month.
The milestone comes as Happi House is springing onto the chicken franchise and teriyaki franchise scenes after implementing a new growth strategy last year. "Our plan is to bring a fresh new, yet proven, franchise opportunity to an underserved market," said Joshua Richman, CEO and long-time franchise developer, "we see a fast-growing demand for quality quick service Asian meals that is projected to only grow larger." Richman says that Happi House has the necessary experience, menu systems, brand loyalty, and support team in place to thrive under these circumstances, and adds that Happi House is a great choice for those seeking a chicken franchise, teriyaki franchise, Asian franchise, or healthy option QSR franchise.
The 33-year-old chain has recently made strides to further contemporize its brand; introducing a new restaurant design and image package, improved service format, and broadening its menu offerings with the addition of a variety of gourmet salads, snack items, and lunch combos. And despite the tough economic times, sales continue to climb. "Our focus on our food, dining environment, and service has helped Happi House to grow stronger in this recession, and sales trends are very positive," said Richman, "I'm convinced that we're making the right moves forward; we're tried and tested, and we know this is a great time for Happi House to franchise," continued Richman.
To mark the 20-million-piece milestone, Happi House is introducing special 20-piece for $20 chicken offer at all of its locations until the end of the month. "Our teriyaki chicken is amazingly delicious, it's infused with our special teriyaki flavor, and it just falls off the bone," says Kevyn Johnston, Director of Marketing "we've sold a good deal of the 20 million pieces by means of our family-size take-out paks, so we thought celebrating with a value priced 20-piece special would be a nice way to mark the event."
Established in 1976, Happi House is a Bay Area culinary institution and regional favorite. The California teriyaki QSR first opened in San Jose's Japantown as a result of demand for a casual, value-oriented neighborhood restaurant. Happi House integrates fresh California teriyaki flavors with a streamlined cooking system - providing top quality products, speed of service, and cost efficiencies for dine in, take-out, and catering. Happi House Restaurants, Inc. owns and operates Happi House Teriyaki restaurants throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and plans to open several more company owned and Happi House franchise locations during the next year.
