The Melting Pot Wins Best California Wine List of Any National Restaurant Chain
TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kendra Shier, vice president of brand development for The Melting Pot restaurants, today announced that The Melting Pot was named by the California Restaurant Association as the Best California Wine List of any national restaurant chain with 10 or more units.
"Our deepest congratulations to all of the winners," said California Restaurant Association President + CEO Jot Condie. "The competition, while still relatively new, attracted many tremendous wine lists from across the state - proving that California is a world-class food and wine destination."
California restaurants that feature wines produced in the state were invited to submit their wine lists, along with an essay detailing their wine program and commitment to promoting California wines. Winners were selected by a panel of judges in three categories. The Melting Pot restaurant chain won out in the restaurant companies with 10 or more outlets category. The Melting Pot was judged based on their core wine list and The Melting Pot of Sacramento's wine list was used as an example. Sacramento's wine list includes mostly California wines on its extensive list. Michael Frampton, franchisee of The Melting Pot of Sacramento and Leo Cari, worked together to develop the wine lists for their local Melting Pot. Cari also played a major role in creating the dynamic wine flights that complement The Melting Pot's Big Night Out four-course fondue dinners.
"Leo and Mike's availability for interviews, assistance in submitting this award and their spectacular local wine list coupled with our national core wine list has resulted in The Melting Pot being named by the California Restaurant Association as having the best wine list. This is a huge accomplishment for one of our very own Melting Pot restaurants to be in the most notorious wine state in the country with more restaurants per capita and be chosen for this award," Shier said.
