The "R"Us Registry is also a starting point for first-time moms as they create their "wish list" for everything baby.
From Friday, September 18 through Sunday, September 20, the Pearl City store will commemorate its grand opening with a celebration for parents and children featuring Story Time throughout the weekend and Mommy & Me Music Time on Friday morning. Visits from favorite costumed characters, including Dora, Arthurô and D.W.™, Care Bear™ Funshine Bear™, Brobee from Nick Jr.'s Yo Gabba Gabba!™, and of course, Geoffrey® will also take place throughout the weekend. As a company dedicated to keeping kids safe and helping them in times of need, in conjunction with the grand opening, the Toys"R"Us Children's Fund, a public charity affiliated with Toys"R"Us, Inc., will award $5,000 to Kapi'olani Children's Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The NICU offers highly specialized care for newborns up to three months, including medical management, care coordination and developmental assessments for newborns discharged from the NICU.
Prior to the store's opening on Friday, September 18, Reverend Richard Kamanu of Kaumakapili Church will join company officials to offer a traditional new business dedication and Hawaiian blessing for the first Babies"R"Us location in Hawaii.
