Flip Flop Shops Exposes New Fall/Holiday Footwear Line

Company considers temporary name change to Flip Flop and Slipper Shops for fall season

September 23, 2009 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA - With fall right around the corner, it's about time to start retiring the summer flip flops and sandals for more appropriate fall footwear. But Flip Flop Shops, the nation's first retail chain exclusive to flip flops and sandals, doesn't want people to have to give up the "Free-Your-Toes" feeling just because the weather changes so they have recently launched their new line of Fall Footwear Fashions.

Flip Flop Shops will be carrying some of the hottest brands and latest styles this season, including REEF slippers and lambs wool lined flip flops, Sanuk fleece lined slippers and boots and EMU of Australia boots.

"At Flip Flop Shops we carry the hottest and hardest to find styles and brands 365 days throughout the year," said Brian Curin, the President (size 10). "With droves of people booking cruises and trips for the holiday season there is no better time to swing by Flip Flop Shops to pick up your Free Your Toes needs and to get the latest styles from the hottest brands to keep your feet warm as well."

Selling such popular brands as Reef, Sanuk, havaianas, Flojos and O'Neill, Flip Flop Shops plans to open 236 shops across North America within five years. The company's mission is to provide the opportunity for anyone, in any climate, to "live, work and play with their toes exposed®" while wearing the freedom of flip flops on their feet. Flip flops have grown to become the "global youth uniform", as well as accepted footwear for anyone ranging from surfers to high-level corporate executives. Indeed, flip flop sales exceeded those of athletic shoes for the first time in 2006, and flip flop fever has continued to build momentum ever since.

"While we continue to expand our brand across North America, we are also extending our product lines to meet the consumer's needs for every season," added Darin Kraetsch the CEO (size 10). "It is great to have people joining our Free Your Toes movement no matter what the season!"

Flip Flop Shops currently has locations operating in Arizona, California, Texas, Nevada, as well as forays into Vancouver, British Columbia and Guam. The company will soon open additional shops in Hawaii, Idaho, Utah, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, New Jersey, Delaware, Ohio and Edmonton, Alberta.
