October 02, 2009 // Franchising.com // MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - Extreme Brandz, the franchisor and operator of more than 265 restaurants in the United States and Canada under the brand names Extreme Pita, Mucho Burrito and Pureblendz, announces the appointment of Mark Cunningham as Executive Vice President of International Operations and Business Development.
Cunningham, who most recently held the same position with The Second Cup Coffee Co Inc, will oversee all facets of international development and expansion for all Extreme Brandz concepts, as well as be responsible for the company's day to day operations, reporting directly to President and CEO Alex Rechichi.

A seasoned QSR professional with more than 25 years of experience, Cunningham brings a wealth of international and domestic knowledge to Extreme Brandz. Most recently, he led international development initiatives for The Second Cup Coffee Co Inc, growing the company's presence to encompass 11 countries, including the concept's first café in Dubai. Cunningham began his career with McDonald's.
According to Cunningham, international markets offer attractive demographics for Extreme Brandz, with young, affluent, increasingly well-educated and aspirational consumers looking for new products and experiences.
