Embassy Suites Atlanta - Kennesaw Town Center Opens As First Of Its Kind In Georgia

All-Suite Property Marks First Design Option III Prototype in Georgia and Only Upscale, Full-Service Hotel in Kennesaw

October 27, 2009 // Franchising.com // MCLEAN, VA – Embassy Suites Hotels today announced the opening of the Embassy Suites Atlanta – Kennesaw Town Center, featuring the brand's first Design Option III Prototype build in Georgia. The upscale property is located at 620 Chastain Road, conveniently accessible from both I-575 and I-75. The property was constructed by Holder Construction and designed by Richard Rauh & Associate. Owned by Dr. Gerald Sapp, and managed by GS Hospitality, LLC, both of Atlanta, GA, the property marks the first Embassy Suites for Dr. Sapp, adding to a portfolio which already includes other Hilton Worldwide brands.

The Embassy Suites Atlanta – Kennesaw Town Center is Kennesaw's first full-service, all-suites property and the seventh Embassy Suites in the Atlanta area. The 192-suite hotel has nearly 7,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, the largest of any hotel in the Kennesaw area.

"Roughly 75% of Embassy Suites' development pipeline of 54 hotels is the Design Option III build, which has been well-received by both the development community and our guests. With Design Option III, we have opened up the Embassy Suites brand to developers who have believed building an Embassy was a challenge due to the rising costs of real estate and construction."

The hotel's Design Option III design allows guests the same amenities as traditional Embassy Suites properties but is more cost effective and environmentally friendly, with its suites characterized by a more residential-feel.

"We are excited to open the first Embassy Suites hotel in Kennesaw," said General Manager Beth Lanser. "In this challenging economy, we are pleased to be able to offer our guests a unique value proposition from Embassy Suites, and bring the only full-service, upscale offering to the market, conveniently located to both I-75 and I-575, which will serve business and leisure travelers alike." The property features a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, the exclusive upscale restaurant in the area. With almost 7,000 sq. ft. of meeting and pre-function space, complete with catering services and state-of-the-art audiovisual capabilities, the Embassy Suites Atlanta – Kennesaw Town Center will be a great option for meetings and events. The 5,500 sq. ft. ballroom can hold up to 500 guests.

A state-of-the-art Precor fitness center, equipped with the latest in cardiovascular and weight equipment, and a pool are also offered to all guests. Both the King and Double Suites boast a desk with an ergonomic chair, mobile furnishings that allow guests to create their own unique living space and flat screen televisions. Travelers can also enjoy a complimentary, cooked-to-order breakfast, evening Manager's Reception*, complimentary wireless Internet access, complimentary parking and airport shuttle.
