Days Inn Hotels Spread Holiday Cheer to Louisville Residents in Need

December 11, 2009 // Franchising.com // PARSIPPANY, N.J. — For the 15th year in a row, representatives from more than 25 Days Inn hotels throughout the state of Kentucky joined together to help nearly 300 residents of Louisville's Dosker Manor, a public housing facility that is home to low income residents including some with physical and emotional disabilities, have a happy holiday season.

A group of Days Inn owners and managers from across the state gathered today to share gifts with the residents of Dosker Manor during a holiday party that included music, decorations, cookies and refreshments, all compliments of the hotels.

The Days Inn team gathered yesterday at the Days Inn Louisville Central hotel to help wrap the gifts, which ranged from blankets and sweaters to gift cards for well-known grocery stores and restaurants. The donated gifts were collected by the hotels over the course of the past year from hotel guests, employees and vendors.

Days Inn president Clyde Guinn and Wyndham Hotel Group senior vice president of brand marketing Rosanne Zusman, were also on hand for the festivities.

"This is a heartwarming event that the Days Inn hotels of Kentucky look forward to each year, and it serves as great reminder of the importance of giving to those in need," said Guinn.
