'Houston, We Have Lift-Off' Thanks to New Johnny Rockets Spicy Hamburger
Home of the Original Hamburger Invites Guests to 'Tame the Flame'
LAKE FOREST, Calif. // PRNewswire // -- In response to overwhelming support and positive feedback from Johnny Rocket's loyal fan base, the international restaurant chain announced today that it will permanently add the new, limited-time only "The Houston" hamburger to its menu in 2010. The spicy twist on Rocket Single hamburger will join the ranks of the "St. Louis," "Route 66" and other classic American dishes and be available in all restaurants by spring 2010.
The new fiery, fan-favorite hamburger is made with a combination of mayonnaise, Hot Rocket Fuel sauce and topped off with pepper-jack cheese, wedge lettuce, ripe tomatoes and jalapeno peppers, served on a fresh bun.
"When Johnny Rockets customers speak, we listen," said Lee Sanders, CEO of Johnny Rockets. "With the input of East Coast Franchisee, Jason Sugarman, and West Coast Franchisee, Mary Khalighian, we have developed a fusion of fun ingredients to create the flavor profile for 'The Houston,' which exemplifies what we do best at Johnny Rockets - provide cravable, quality food. We look forward to giving all customers a chance to 'tame the flame' and enjoy this spicy twist on the Rocket Single in 2010."
The perfect mouth-watering treat, "The Houston" follows Johnny Rockets' trend of naming hamburgers after iconic places throughout the U.S., including St. Louis and historical Route 66. Guests looking to cool off their taste buds can try Johnny Rockets' new Oreo® Peppermint Shake, also available through 2010.
The international product launch for "The Houston" is scheduled to be complete by the beginning of 2010 and will be included on all Johnny Rockets menus by spring.
