BLOCKBUSTER(R) Announces Exclusive Rental of Paramount Digital Entertainment's 'Circle of Eight'

Full-Length Film Version with Never-Before-Seen Footage Now Available Through Digital Download, By-Mail and In-Store

DALLAS // PRNewswire-FirstCall // -- Blockbuster Inc. (NYSE: BBI) (NYSE: BBI) (NYSE: B), a global leader in entertainment, today announced that Paramount Digital Entertainment's episodic Web phenomenon Circle of Eight is available for rent as a full-length film exclusively from BLOCKBUSTER® in-store, online and via download until Jan. 21, 2010.

Originally a 10-episode thriller featured on MySpace™, the full-length film version of Circle of Eight contains never-seen unrated footage and an alternate ending, which was previously only available through an interactive game on MySpace, and a new Behind the Scenes bonus feature explaining the plot of Circle of Eight. In addition, the rental will include other bonus features including "On Haunted," a segment explaining the real life mystery surrounding the film's location, and "A Day in the Life of a PA," which highlights a day in a new production assistant's life as he learns the ropes on the set.

"This exclusive rental of Circle of Eight from BLOCKBUSTER is the first time anyone can see the full-length movie with no interruptions or wait time. Paramount's first episodic Web-based movie, Circle of Eight, received more than four million views and has more than 100,000 fans on MySpace. MySpace and Paramount released 10 episodes over seven weeks and built a strong following through the mystery behind the desolate Dante hotel.
