The Crowne Plaza Chicago O'Hare Hotel & Convention Center has a completed a multi-million dollar renovation of all 503 guest rooms and suites, emphasizing high-end design, function and environmental sustainability.

Rosemont, Ill. (PRWEB) -- In advance of the year-end travel season, the Crowne Plaza Chicago O'Hare Hotel & Conference Center , 5440 N. River Rd., has completed a multi-million dollar renovation of its guest rooms and suites, emphasizing high-end design, function and environmental sustainability.

The Crowne Plaza Chicago O'Hare Hotel & Conference Center has completed a renovation of all 503 guest rooms and suites.

"Over the last two years, we've literally transformed all 503 guest rooms and suites to meet the needs of today's discerning leisure and business travelers who, like us, are committed to environmental sustainability. Those familiar with the hotel's history are truly amazed when they see what's transpired," said David M. Friedman, president of CPO Hospitality and F&F Realty, owners and managers of the property since 2007.

Located just minutes from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, the area's newest guest rooms feature handcrafted custom furniture, high-end fixtures and finishes, plus amenities including a refrigerator, in-room safe that accommodates a laptop computer, cordless telephone, 32-inch flat-screen HD television, wireless high-speed internet access and Roomlinx interactive entertainment solution. Guests can be ensured of a good night's sleep thanks to the Crowne Plaza Sleep Advantage® program with new bedding, guaranteed wake-up calls, designated quiet zones, drape clips and amenities such as eye masks, ear plugs and lavender spray.

Since acquiring the hotel, Friedman, whose companies own and manage three other Chicago-area Crowne Plaza hotels (Chicago Metro, Chicago North Shore, Glen Ellyn-Lombard), has emphasized environmental sustainability. Virtually all of the metal from the demolition and construction was recycled. The remodeled guest rooms and suites incorporate low-E glass windows, CFL light bulbs, energy reducing heat/air systems, and high efficiency plumbing fixtures. Ongoing sustainable efforts include a hotel-wide recycling program, avoidance of Styrofoam products, use of low-environmental impact cleaning agents, and a focus on local foods and regional vendors.

The hotel has even eliminated the manufacture and disposal of more than 29,000 plastic bottles annually by providing guests unlimited filtered and chilled water at vending rooms on each floor of the hotel.

"Our prime location across from the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, adjacent to the Rosemont Theater, and just a short commute via expressway or public transportation to downtown Chicago make us ideally suited for practically any business or leisure trip to the Chicago area," said Patty Connolly, Crowne Plaza Chicago O'Hare general manager. "We also have 55,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including 22 breakout rooms, and a ballroom that can accommodate up to 3,000 people."

As such, the hotel is offering a variety of discounts on guest rooms and last-minute holiday party packages through Dec. 31.
