Sears.com Unveils Marketplace At Sears.com - Offering More Than 10 Million Items Online

New Marketplace at Sears.com makes shopping online easier than ever and provides customers millions of products to shop from all in one convenient location

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. // PRNewswire-FirstCall // -- To help customers find what they need, when they need it, Sears.com formally announces the launch of Marketplace at Sears.com, which the retailer has been operating since July 2009. Marketplace at Sears.com opens the Sears platform to third-party sellers, providing shoppers with even more shopping choices. As a result, customers now have access to over 10 million products via Sears.com.

"Customers can now easily find the products they are seeking all in one convenient location from the comfort of their own home computer."

From furniture to art, beauty to clothing, appliances to electronics, sporting goods to shoes, customers can now get everything they need. Sears.com is committed to providing an unparalleled online shopping experience each and every day.

Sears.com recently launched additional browsing and shopping features such as Quick View, Save for Later and Wish Lists coupled with a much improved search platform that provides quick and easy access to the millions of products. Customers also have the ability to distribute the experience to social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, by leveraging new share features.

Unique among multi-channel retailers' marketplaces, Sears.com has created an open marketplace, in which not only new items have been added, but multiple sellers of the same item are included on the site, regardless of whether Sears sells a similar item. For instance, if a customer is looking to find the best deal on a particular item, they can search for it at Marketplace at Sears.com which will provide price quotes for that item from a variety of sellers that may, or may not include Sears.

Sears is unveiling Marketplace at Sears.com on the heels of another new program, ShopYourWay(TM) which provides customers with the ability to shop how they want, when they want. From the new Online Layaway option that allows customers to purchase items and pay for them over time to the innovative Personal Shopper program, customer shopping options are endless at Sears.com.
