Snap Fitness Promotes Gary Findley To Chief Operating Officer

January 14, 2010 // Franchising.com // MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Snap Fitness, the world's fastest growing franchise featuring compact, state-of-the-art fitness centers, announces the promotion of Gary Findley to Chief Operating Officer.

Findley, formerly Senior Vice President of Franchise Sales, will expand his leadership role to assist in enhancing Snap Fitness' operational efficiencies. Meanwhile, he will continue to lead the company's franchise sales development both domestic and internationally.

"Gary has been a great addition to our leadership team and will play a valuable role in our growth and success as we expand and develop the Snap Fitness brand globally," said Peter Taunton, Founder and CEO of Snap Fitness. "In his new position, he and I will work closely together to make certain Snap Fitness has the right people, the right services and the right locations to serve our customers and franchisees worldwide."

Findley, who joined Snap Fitness in October 2008, has more than 15 years of experience in the franchise industry, including an eight-year tenure at Curves International. As President of Curves, he played an integral part in turning the chain into one of the fastest growing franchise companies in history. Findley also spent two years as Vice President of Franchise Sales for the Dwyer Group.

The promotion comes on the heals of a monumental year for Snap Fitness that saw the burgeoning brand become the fastest franchise system to reach 1,000 club openings since its creation. Today, Snap Fitness operates clubs in 48 states, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and India.

"Snap Fitness continues to experience spectacular growth, as it further establishes itself as the premier concept in the $18.5 billion fitness industry," Findley said. "I couldn't be more excited about my role with the company and look forward to helping guide the franchise to its next stage of operational success."
