Pizza Fusion Treats Orphans to Tasty Organic Meal; Teaches Lessons on Health and the Environment

Pizza Fusion North Miami Beach partners with Florida Baptist Children's Homes to share life-skills and healthy habits as they get closer to aging out of the system

January 22, 2010 // Franchising.com // North Miami Beach, Fla. – Pizza Fusion North Miami Beach opened its doors to 13 teenage orphans on Monday for a complimentary lunch and educational experience on green nutrition, business and the environment. The teenagers came from Florida Baptist Children's Homes, a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing Christ-centered services to children and families in need.

"We really enjoyed having Florida Baptist Children's Homes come by for food, fun, and learning. It was a rewarding experience that these young adults really appreciated," Cesar Conde, managing partner of Pizza Fusion North Miami Beach, states. "We hope that we gave them inspiration to chose healthy lifestyles that will benefit their own health as well as the planet as a whole."

Florida Baptist Children's Homes has been serving abused, neglected and orphaned children since 1904. They have three major service areas, including campus ministries, community ministries, and international childcare missions. Campus ministries include residential care, emergency shelter care and adult developmental services. Community ministries include foster care, maternity care, adoption services, and the Sanctity of Human Life program. The Children's Homes also conducts international childcare missions to developing countries around the world.
