February 01, 2010 // Franchising.com // THE COLONY, Tex. – (Nasdaq:PZZI) As the down economy has more consumers looking for value when it comes to their dining options, Pizza Inn is ringing in the New Year with a $9.99 pizza special.
Available at most of Pizza Inn's restaurants throughout the United States, the limited-time offer allows customers to custom-order any large pizza for $9.99 with unlimited toppings. Customers can have their pizzas made on any of Pizza Inn's three traditional handcrafted crusts – New York style, Italian and Crackery Thin. A large Pizza Inn pizza typically serves up to four adults.
"Good economy or bad, customers want to enjoy foods they crave without sacrificing value and taste," said Charlie Morrison, CEO of Pizza Inn. "We are excited to offer this delicious value for our customers and look forward to feeding consumer appetites with our freshly made pizzas."
For over 50 years, Pizza Inn has provided consumers with a variety of specialty and traditional handcrafted pizzas, pastas, salads and desserts in a dine-in buffet format with delivery and carryout. The company popularized a unique thin crackery crust that is prepared from scratch in our restaurants everyday and has since become the signature product offering. Over the years the menu has expanded, but the company's commitment to the highest quality ingredients, the friendliest service and affordable pricing have remained unchanged.
"We remain committed to providing our customers with the same high quality pizza, pasta and Pizzerts that have served as the backbone of our brand for more than half a century," Morrison added, referencing the efforts of other major pizza chains that have spent millions to reposition themselves in the marketplace with revised recipes and product enhancements. "We have stayed true to our heritage. And our customers."
