Snap-on Tops Mobile Tool Franchises in '2010 AllBusiness AllStars'

KENOSHA, Wis. // PRNewswire // -- The Snap-on Tools Franchise was selected the top tool sales franchise and 45th overall franchise by Dun & Bradstreet's (D&B) AllBusiness.com editors for its "2010 AllBusiness AllStars." Snap-on Franchise bettered its top 100 ranking last year, moving up into the editors' Top 50 for 2010.

This second annual ranking of 300 leading franchises was developed by AllBusiness.com editors and draws upon the in-depth financial analysis of its parent company, D&B. According to AllBusiness.com, the winners were determined by examining seven criteria: franchise unit growth rate, financial strength, system size, years in business, years in franchising, availability of financing and Web (brand) visibility.

The Snap-on Franchise was recognized by AllBusiness editors who commented that, "Snap-on franchisees benefit from the company's many years in business (it ranked #57 in longevity) and system size. Snap-on was rated one of the top franchises in North America for 2009 by Franchise Business Review." Editors also said, "Snap-on understands the mechanics of the automotive repair business."

The ranking distinguished Snap-on for its program that allows new franchisees to start with a smaller investment and build up equity to invest in a standard franchise, as well as for its in-house financing package.

"Snap-on is very grateful to receive recognition from the AllBusiness.com editors as a top 50 franchise and the leader in the tool sales category," said Tom Ward, president of the Snap-on Tools Group. "Our franchisees take great pride in representing the world's most preferred tool brand by technicians, and we take great care in providing the support necessary to help our franchisees succeed."
