Worth the Wait: Häagen-Dazs Keeps Customers in Sweet Suspense

Tasty Promotion Tempts Customer Cravings with "Do Not Open" Thank You Cards

February 03, 2010 // Franchising.com // Minneapolis, Minn. – Suspense is building and taste buds are bursting coast to coast thanks to the Häagen-Dazs "Thank You Game." Giving away nearly $300,000 worth of free food, beverages and discount offers, the promotion runs now through the end of February.

"We couldn't think of a better way to show our appreciation to our customers for keeping a special place in their hearts for Häagen-Dazs," said Dawn Uremovich, president of Häagen-Dazs Shops. "What makes this a ton of fun is that there are so many thank yous to go around. We're thanking our customers and they'll want to thank us when we open their thank you cards."

When customers make a purchase at participating Häagen-Dazs Shops nationwide they will receive a thank you card, which cannot be opened until their next visit to the store. Left in sweet suspense, customers will give their unopened card to a Häagen-Dazs crew member when they make their next visit. Crew members will open it to reveal a valuable prize inside. Everyone with a card is a winner.

"Whether visiting for the first time or the hundredth, we're thanking those who make Häagen-Dazs part of their lives," added Uremovich.

An array of prizes available includes free second scoops of ice cream and free DazzlerTM desserts, while supplies last.
