Freshii Coming To Nashville

Former Hollywood Producer Moves to Nashville and Enters Restaurant Business

February 16, 2010 // Franchising.com // Chicago, IL — Daniel McCarthy and Olivia Sarratt McCarthy moved from Los Angeles to Nashville last year in search of a better quality of life for their family. After a decade in the film industry, they were also looking for a new venture.

"A friend knew I was looking to start a business and turned me on to Freshii. When I went to Chicago to see Freshii for myself, all the stores were completely packed, my lunch was quick and delicious and I knew right away Freshii will do particularly well in Nashville," Dan McCarthy. "Nashville really is the best of town and country. With a population of over a million, the culture is based on family values and the message of health, sustainability, and locally supplied produce will be extremely well received and supported. I found a concept with really great tasting, quick service, healthy and organic food. As a father interested in a healthy lifestyle for my family, Freshii is a no brainer and I can't wait to open." Olivia adds, "Nashville is a much more sophisticated town than many think and we've already been inundated with all the 'It's about time!' comments. This concept is long overdue everywhere and we're very happy to be the first to bring it to the South."

About Dan and Olivia McCarthy:

Dan worked for ten years in film production and directed and produced the feature film, "Vendetta" starring Daniel Baldwin. Dan also spent years building luxury real estate in Southern California, Nevada and Tennessee and currently operates in the business capital market brokering accounts receivables and purchase orders. Born and raised in Nashville, Olivia, a writer, runs a local interest publication, Ncompass Magazine. They have two daughters and will both be active owners and managers.
