Sonnenschein Expands Los Angeles Office with Addition of Duccio Mortillaro

March 17, 2010 // Franchising.com // LOS ANGELES — Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP announced today that Duccio Mortillaro has joined the law firm as counsel in its Public Law & Policy Strategies practice. Mortillaro will reside in Sonnenschein's Los Angeles office.

"His experience representing overseas investors and foreign multinational companies in the United States is a wonderful fit with our existing capabilities here in Los Angeles and throughout the firm."

Mortillaro's cross-border practice focuses on representing foreign investors, mainly from Italy and other European countries, in the United States and U.S. interests in Europe and Latin America in all aspects of corporate and commercial law, from entity formation to shareholders' agreements to joint ventures, licensing and acquisitions. By managing the legal issues associated with the U.S. operations of several European companies, he acts, in effect, as their general counsel.

Mortillaro joins Sonnenschein from Ropers Majeski Kohn & Bentley PC, where he was of counsel. He earned a law degree from the University of Milan School of Law in Italy and a J.D. degree from the University of Miami School of Law. He also holds an LL.M. degree from UCLA School of Law.
