Instead, Pizza Inn will celebrate the Mean Green's great season record of 24-9 with a pizza buffet specially priced at $2.49 the entire day of Monday, March 22, 2010 at the chain's Denton location, located at 501 W. University Dr.

With a 66-63 victory over Troy in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament Championship, North Texas won an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. It was the third appearance in school history and second in the last four years. The Mean Green established a school record for victories with 24 and carried an 11-game winning streak into the tournament.
"Any year a team makes it to the Big Dance it is an unbelievable accomplishment," said De La Garza. "These young men worked hard all year and we at Pizza Inn hope they can make the tournament again in 2011."
