World Franchising Network Selects 50 Top Franchises for Military Veterans

April 21, 2010 // Franchising.com // CARROLLTON, Texas – Continuing to support the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces, FASTSIGNS International Inc. sign and graphics centers, was selected as one of the 50 Top Franchises for Veterans by the World Franchising Network. The selection recognizes FASTSIGNS as a franchise committed to the recruitment and advancement of veterans within its company.

The award is part of a targeted new website and recruitment program for military veterans by the World Franchising Network. The results of this survey were featured in the April 9, 2010 issue of USA Today in the Franchising Today section and were widely disseminated at the International Franchise Expo (IFE) in Washington D.C. The 50 companies included were selected from hundreds of companies requesting evaluation for inclusion in the article.

"It's an honor to be recognized as one of the top franchises military veterans can turn to for success," said Mark Jameson, Senior Vice President of Franchise Development. "We want to make the transition into civilian life as simple as possible for these men and women. The FASTSIGNS franchise opportunity allows veterans to utilize the skills they learned in the military such as their tenacious work ethic, self discipline and ability follow a proven system, ultimately setting them up for future success."

Veterans joining FASTSIGNS can take advantage of specific incentives. Financially, FASTSIGNS offers a reduced franchise fee of $15,000 for veterans compared to $27,500. Also, with more than 300 markets available, veterans have the flexibility to open a FASTSIGNS location in their ideal market. FASTSIGNS views veterans as exceptional individuals to enter its system. Men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces develop the drive, motivation and discipline needed to become successful business owner and operators.

"Veterans have the ideal skill set to run a business," said Brian Wieters, Assistant Vice President, Franchise Development for FASTSIGNS. "They put themselves in a position to succeed, and in return, help grow the FASTSIGNS brand."
