Wyndham Hotels and Resorts Welcomes Florida's Quorum Hotel-Tampa
April 22, 2010 // Franchising.com // PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Continuing its expansion in key markets, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, a subsidiary of Wyndham Worldwide (NYSE:WYN), today announced that one of Florida's most widely known hotels, the 272-room Quorum Hotel-Tampa, will join the Wyndham® system in late May.
The hotel, to be renamed Wyndham Tampa Westshore, is located in the heart of Tampa's Westshore business district, just minutes from Tampa International Airport and Raymond James Stadium.

The property will continue to be managed by Dallas-based Quorum Hotels and Resorts. Management staff and all employees will be retained in an effort to provide "seamless quality of service to guests," according to Tony Farris, the company's chief executive officer.

The hotel features 12,000 square feet of function space, an outdoor pool and spa, executive fitness center, courtesy business center and a guest library in the lobby offering a variety of best-selling fiction and literature. Standard guest room amenities include 32-inch, flat-panel televisions, minifridges and oversized work desks. Suites offer private bedrooms, living rooms and dining areas with wet bars.
The hotel's innovative Meeting Success program guarantees meeting planners a two-hour response to general inquires and 24-hour response for requests for proposals.
Special services include complimentary seated massages, evening manager reception, interactive cigar-rolling demonstrations and personalized culinary experiences. Guests also may enjoy dining at The Blue Water Grill, the hotel's full-service restaurant and bar, or its Starbucks® café, adjacent to the hotel's lobby.
The Wyndham Tampa Westshore will be the 21st property to join the Wyndham Hotel and Resorts system in the last five months, which includes recent additions such as the 400-unit Reunion Resort and Club Wyndham Grand Resort in the luxury 2,300-acre Reunion golf community in Orlando; the 280-room Fashion 26 – A Wyndham Hotel in New York City, the 1,011-room Parc 55 Wyndham San Francisco-Union Square and the 255-room Graves 601 Hotel, Wyndham Grand, in Minneapolis.
