Carpet Network Franchise Celebrates Two New Graduates

April 26, 2010 // Franchising.com // Mt. Laurel, NJ -- Chris Gilbert from the Eugene, Oregon area and Kyle Santor from South Burlington, Vermont graduated with flying colors from the intensive six-day course at the Home Office in Mt. Laurel, NJ.

"They both put in the extra effort to prepare for Carpet Network College by following the online study courses and being diligent about practicing with their tablet computers beforehand," says Jennifer Ostroff, who teaches the technology program, "I very impressed with how quickly both of the students were able to become expert with the software that was developed exclusively for Carpet Network shop at home presentations. Chris and Kyle were attentive and diligent about practicing with the tool that will make them even faster, more accurate, and more profitable. They recognize what this technology will do for their business."

In addition to the normal agenda for the training, Carpet Network hosted a two-hour course for Karndean luxury vinyl tile products as well. Brian Foust, Karndean's technical supervisor presented product knowledge as well as installation techniques to the group of twelve local franchise owners who gathered for this supplementary training on one of the fastest growth products in floor covering today.

Chris Gilbert will be succeeding Jan Vanderspek, long time Carpet Network franchisee who is moving on to a more leisurely lifestyle conducive to his 79 years. His hand picked successor, Chris Gilbert is well known in the Eugene community as a master installation craftsman who is also ready for the next phase in his life as a Carpet Network business owner. "Chris has a natural, consultative approach to conveying his vast knowledge to customers that I think will be attractive to the Eugene community", says Christine Rankin, Carpet Network President. "He already has a great reputation and with his drive and ambition will be able to expand Carpet Network's presence in the greater Eugene market. We know great things are in store for him."

Kyle Santor has joined the team led by Dave Fitzwater in So. Burlington, Vermont. Kyle, once a worthy competitor, decided that if he couldn't beat 'em, it was better to join 'em. Kyle left a bricks and mortar location knowing how difficult the burden of that overhead was. Kyle is enjoying the freedom of the competitive advantage offered by Carpet Network's mobile business model. With Kyle's enthusiasm and invigorating presence, they have already met their initial goals and have plans to become an even larger force in the Vermont market. "Kyle has a marketing and promotional mentality that engages people. His ability to network and create excitement will draw residential and commercial customers alike," says Rankin.
