Local Entrepreneur Exceeds Expectations for First Year Owners of IT Solutions Business

Doug Bates, who spent more than 20 years in corporate America, much of it as a sales executive, opened the award-winning local CMIT Solutions office in Fayetteville in early-2009. He received the Rookie of the Year Honor for his business' outstanding sales performance and overall contribution to the CMIT Solutions franchise system. In addition, his ambitious work ethic and commitment to the community he serves earned Bates recognition during the Fayette County Chamber Leadership Program this year.

The energy and enthusiasm Bates brings to his business has paid dividends quickly for him. Impressively in his first year, Bates grew CMIT Solutions of Fayette/Coweta's client count to more than 30 local small businesses. He set new revenue records in 10 of the 13 months since he has opened the business, and his average monthly sales growth rate is 26 percent since opening. So far in 2010, Bates is on track to double the business' revenue as compared to the previous 12 months.
