Springfield's Children's Orchard Recognized for Business Excellence

Local Upscale-Resale Store Earns Best MOMS Club Recruiter and Sham Wow! Marketing Award at National Conference

May 24, 2010 // Franchising.com // Springfield, MO – Children's Orchard of Springfield was recently recognized for its success in business with the Best MOMS Club Recruiter and Sham Wow! Marketing Award at the company's national conference in Ann Arbor, MI.

This month, Christie Gosch and Dan Morris were recognized for increasing their M.O.M.S. Club members to more than 10,000 moms, more than anyone else in the system. They were also recognized for going above and beyond to create and implement an original marketing concept by developing a cross promotion with 18 local McDonald's restaurants to provide a $5 coupon with every Happy Meal sold during specific periods of time.

The 2010 Children's Orchard Franchise Conference took place this month at the corporate headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI. Children's Orchard franchise owners from across the country came together to learn from one another and share best practices.

"Christie and Dan have gone above and beyond to uphold Children's Orchard brand standards and to provide families with quality children's products at deeply discounted prices," said Children's Orchard Executive Vice President, Cathy Marks . "They are truly worthy of this award."

Children's Orchard buys and sells gently-used designer clothing and accessories for children at a discounted price and is a favorite retail alternative for parents and families in Springfield. At a traditional retail store, customers would expect to pay $50 or more for a Gymboree dress; the same dress would cost around $7 at Children's Orchard. Similarly, GAPKIDS, Abercrombie, Tommy Hilfiger Kids separates that cost upwards of $70 at most stores would likely be closer to $12-$15 at Children's Orchard.
