Increased Demand for Home Repair Services Drives Growth of Handyman Segment

In the first quarter of this year alone, the Michigan-based company has signed eight new franchise agreements throughout the country. And while most franchise systems got smaller in 2009, Mr. Handyman brought 36 new franchise owners into the system. Throughout the remainder of 2010, Mr. Handyman executives say they plan to open 30 new franchise locations, specifically targeting Phoenix, South Florida, St. Louis and Atlanta metro areas for growth.
