Winmark Business Solutions Offers Expert Advice on Small Business Bookkeeping through Innovative Online Resource Center

Announces partnership with BookKeeping Express; Provides site's members with expert insight into small business accounting

May 25, 2010 // Franchising.com // MINNEAPOLIS – Winmark Business Solutions an online small-business resource center that provides free management tools and small-business information, today announced a new partnership with BookKeeping Express.

Based in McLean, Va., BookKeeping Express is the only U.S. franchise focused solely on certified bookkeeping services for small businesses. With operations currently in 13 states and Canada, which covers more than 120 territories across North America, BookKeeping Express has cemented itself as the partner to turn to for small business bookkeeping, including setting up charts of accounts and general ledgers, monthly data entry, processing and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, producing monthly reports and tax reporting.

"We are excited to have BookKeeping Express offer its expert opinions on small business bookkeeping to Winmark Business Solutions' site members," said Steve Murphy, President of Franchising for Winmark Corporation. "BookKeeping Express has established itself as a trusted partner for companies that wish to outsource their bookkeeping. This is a great value for our members."

Beyond the expert insight BookKeeping Express provides to WBSOnline.com site members, the Winmark Business Solutions Marketplace tab provides small business owners with access to BookKeeping Express' services at a significant discount. Other small business service providers offering reduced pricing on the Marketplace tab include Staples, FedEx, Deluxe, T. Rowe Price, ADP and more.

"There are more than 24 million small businesses in this country that are underserved with their business needs," added Murphy. "In today's economy, they have little to no access to capital, they receive no government bailouts and they have no single source of free information or resources to help them. The mission of Winmark Business Solutions is simply to provide these small business owners with a wealth of free information, tools and resources to help them succeed."

Winmark Corporation has decades of experience working with nearly 900 small businesses across the country through its Play It Again Sports®, Once Upon A Child®, Plato's Closet® and Music Go Round® retail franchise operations, and its Wirth Business Credit® small ticket leasing division, which focus on providing financing services for small businesses.

Winmark launched its original site in 2004 as a resource for its franchisees, who frequently requested information to help plan and manage their businesses. The site provided franchise partners with a 6,000 page business guide, free financial and operational tools, and a marketplace of vendors with national discount programs for business critical needs. Then, the company went a step further and made the information and its preferred vendor discounts available to all entrepreneurs and small business owners. It has since become a valued resource by those starting small businesses and seasoned business owners alike.
