Fastsigns(R) Named Top 25 Franchise For Hispanics

May 26, 2010 // Franchising.com // CARROLLTON, Texas – FASTSIGNS® International, Inc., the worldwide franchisor of FASTSIGNS® sign and graphic centers, has been named one of the "Top 25 Franchises for Hispanics" by the National Minority Franchising Initiative (NMFI).

The NMFI develops the list based on a rigorous analysis of several factors, including historical performance, brand identification, franchisee satisfaction, training, on-going support and financial stability. Another important determinant is the percentage of existing franchises that are Hispanic-owned, as well as the number of Hispanics in the franchisor's top levels of management.

"Being recognized for the diversity of our franchise partner base is truly a great honor and one that we are tremendously proud of," said Catherine Monson, CEO of FASTSIGNS International. "We pride ourselves as a business-oriented franchisor trying to help Latinos and other minorities realize their full potential by offering modest costs of entry, a proven and successful business model, outstanding initial training and start-up assistance, and excellent ongoing support."

Although there are no firm statistics on the percentage of franchised outlets currently owned by Hispanics, the NMFI estimates it is more than six percent.

"After extensive due diligence, I was immediately attracted to FASTSIGNS because of the training and support offered through the corporate office and the leadership team in place," said Tom Ramirez, owner of FASTSIGNS in Longmont, Colorado. "The company is dedicated to providing the tools and resources needed so that my business is equipped for growth and success."

Another Hispanic franchise owner, Abe Sales, who owns a FASTSIGNS center in Campbell, California, said he is proud to be working with a brand recognized for its diversity throughout the franchise system. "After spending several years working in the Campbell store, FASTSIGNS afforded me the opportunity and support to become a franchise owner myself. I can't think of a better brand to be part of."
