Aaron's, Inc. and Aaron's Franchisees to Honor Armed Forces Foundation with Commemorative NASCAR Racecar

May 27, 2010 // Franchising.com // Aaron's, Inc. and its franchise owners will honor the Armed Forces Foundation (AFF) with a commemorative racecar at the Charlotte Motor Speedway during the Coca-Cola 600, Sunday, May 30.

"The paint scheme will feature a patriotic red, white and blue design," said Greg Tanner, National Director – Franchising for Aaron's. "In addition to the custom painting, Aaron's will donate a minimum of $10,000 to the AFF. If our Aaron's Dream Machine driver, David Reutimann, finishes in the top five at Charlotte, Aaron's will double the donation to $20,000. And, if he wins the race, Aaron's will donate $200,000 to the AFF."

Aaron's is one of the leading franchise brands in the world. Entrepreneur magazine ranks the Aaron's franchise #42 among its 2010 Franchise 500. Dun & Bradstreet's AllBusiness.com ranks Aaron's franchising #25 on its list of AllBusiness AllStars. And, Franchise Times ranks Aaron's #66 among its Top 200 franchise chains in worldwide sales. "Our Aaron's franchise opportunity is changing the way a growing and underserved consumer market acquires necessities like furniture, appliances, electronics and computers," added Tanner.

"As a longtime partner of the AFF, Aaron's and its franchise owners never fail to find new and exciting ways to show their support for the nation's military," said Patricia Driscoll, AFF President and Executive Director. "A NASCAR racecar adorned with the AFF logo will generate tremendous visibility for our program, delivering more impact in a single day than anything we have done in the past."

Aaron's COO, Ken Butler, said, "The work of the AFF is vitally important because it supports not only military soldiers, but also their families and the sacrifices they make every day."
