Johnny Rockets Announces First Maine Location at Freeport Village Station

LAKE FOREST, Calif., June 1 // PRNewswire // -- Johnny Rockets announces Freeport, a popular tourist and shopping destination on the coast of Maine, as the newest Home of the Original Hamburger. The restaurant is the first Johnny Rockets location to open in Maine, offering customers the authentic decor, classic menu and family-friendly atmosphere made famous by the international restaurant chain. A special grand opening celebration is planned for Saturday, June 12, 2010, where the first 200 guests will receive a free Original Hamburger with any purchase.

Johnny Rockets' new 1,880-square-foot restaurant is located in the Freeport Village Station; a new outdoor plaza located steps away from an array of shopping outlets, including the flagship L.L. Bean store. The restaurant will feature a fun vibe, complete with dancing staff, and jukeboxes to 'let the good times roll.'

Tourists and locals can enjoy Johnny Rockets' timeless menu of all-American favorites, including original hamburgers, American fries, and hand-dipped shakes. Guests can also enjoy healthy alternatives like turkey burgers and garden salads. Alcoholic options including beer and wine are also available.

"Freeport is a quaint coastal town and the perfect backdrop for guests to enjoy the classic Americana of Johnny Rockets," said Godfrey Wood, franchise owner and CEO of the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce. "With very few fast casual restaurants in town, Johnny Rockets provides a family-friendly atmosphere where shoppers can relax and enjoy a fantastic meal in a timeless setting."

"This is a great milestone for Johnny Rockets and we are proud to announce our first restaurant opening in Maine," said John Fuller, CEO of Johnny Rockets. "We look forward to partnering with Godfrey and other franchise partners who are excited about building this brand in the Northeast and providing tourists and locals with our classic American dining experience."

Franchise owner Godfrey Wood is expected to open a second Johnny Rockets location at the Maine Mall in Portland in July 2010.
