Cruisers Grill Launches Franchise Program

June 23, 2010 // Franchising.com // Jacksonville Beach, Florida. - Cruisers Grill has launched its franchise program. The Jacksonville Beach headquartered company has completed its franchise disclosure documents and is aggressively seeking qualified individuals to help grow its brand.

In 2007, Bobby Handmaker bought the then 11 year old company with the goal of growing the number of restaurants. Since that time, Handmaker has opened two Cruisers, one in Jacksonville and the other in St. Augustine, Florida. Cruisers, famous for its burgers, fries, marinated chicken, quesadillas and tacos has collected numerous accolades from most press outlets in the northeast Florida corridor. Handmaker stated, "Cruisers is a phenomenal franchise opportunity. We provide timely table service, great food and reasonable prices. Comparable sales are up year over year in all of our stores and the initial investment is significantly less than other concepts".

Cruisers' competitive advantage over other fast casual burger concepts is the non-burger options available to its guests, including quesadillas, tacos and its proprietary marinated chicken. Additionally, table service, real china and silverware provide guests with an enhanced experience.

Cruisers Grill was founded in 1996. In 2007, Handmade Restaurants was formed to purchase the assets of Cruisers. Since that time, Cruisers has opened an additional two restaurants and is renowned for its burgers, fries, marinated chicken, quesadillas and tacos.
