Weichert Named Outstanding Corporate Group at Annual American Red Cross Heroes Breakfast

June 23, 2010 // Franchising.com // MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. –– Weichert was recently honored with a Hero Award for Outstanding Corporate Group by the Northern New Jersey Chapter of the American Red Cross for supporting its blood donation program. Weichert was presented with the award at the 12th annual Heroes Breakfast which was hosted by Unilever at their corporate offices in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.

"We are truly appreciative of our employees who willingly give their time and their blood to support this worthy cause," said Steven Alessandrini, vice president of corporate communications, who accepted the award for Weichert. "We look forward to continuing our support of the American Red Cross and their blood donation program."

Each August, the Weichert Family of Companies holds a day-long blood drive at its corporate headquarters in Morris Plains. In 2009, Weichert surpassed its campaign goal by 5 percent and collected 84 pints of blood. Since 2005, Weichert employees have personally donated nearly 400 pints of blood to the American Red Cross helping to save more than 1,000 lives.
