Great Clips franchise partners with EA SPORTS and PlayStation for a consumer sweepstakes

Great Clips franchise is the first hair salon franchise to partner with the video game industry

Great Clips joins with EA SPORTS and Sony PlayStation to conduct an Ultimate Game Room Makeover Sweepstakes! during the month of July.

"A core segment of our customer base is men 18-34 years old and they are playing video games," said Rob Goggins, vice president of franchise development for Great Clips, Inc. "That's why our talented marketing pros have devised this makeover sweepstakes and have us teaming with the two biggest names in the video game industry."

EA SPORTS sells more than 1.3 billion games annually including FIFA Soccer, Madden NFL Football, NBA Live, NCAA Football, and Grand Slam Tennis. PlayStation sells the consoles and hand-held game devices.

"We'll host the sweepstakes starting July 1st on greatclips.com and promote it in-salon with posters and banners and give away $5 off EA SPORTS coupons," says Goggins. "We'll also air our "image" TV commercial to make sure our 18-34 year olds get the message.

"In exchange for our contribution to the sweepstakes promotion, Great Clips will be featured on EA SPORTS and PlayStation websites, blogs, newsletters and social media outlets, and within the PS3 console all during the month of July."

Prizes include a 52" HD TV, Sony Home Theater System, PlayStation 3, PSP's, a themed video game recliner, and a variety of EA SPORTS games.

"We estimate that all told we'll generate more 670,000,000 "impressions" for the sweepstakes and realize an estimated $15 million in media exposure," added Goggins. "Those are big numbers, but that's the power of the number one hair salon brand franchise in North America."
