Eagan's Honest-1 Auto Care Franchise Opens for Business

Local Entrepreneur 'Steers' Community in Right Direction to Protect the Environment

July 05, 2010 // Franchising.com // EAGAN, Minn. – Honest-1 Auto Care, the only national full-service auto repair and maintenance franchise that is 100 percent ESA™ Certified Eco-Friendly, today announced the recent opening of its newest location in Eagan.

Honest-1 Auto Care is located in Hawthorne Ridge Mall at 525 Diffley Road, Suite 1050. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

"We want to further Honest-1 Auto Care's reputation as 'the' eco-friendly auto repair and maintenance business in town. Hopefully, we'll encourage other businesses in the community to 'go green' more often," said Sederstrom, whose new location joins two other Twin City Honest-1 shops located in Roseville and Cottage Grove.

In effort to give back to the community, Sederstrom has contributed to the Eagan Police Explorers, a young fundraising team whose members all have dreams to become police officers, by donating 30 VIP cards for the team to sell to raise funds for their organization. These VIP cards are good at all three locations in the Twin Cities and can be redeemed for a variety of services at Honest-1 Auto Care shops.

Sederstrom has also said that his business is funding the planting of new trees through the charitable donation of revenues collected from repair orders. The initiative stems from a partnership formed with American Forests, a leading nonprofit organization that plants trees for environmental restoration.

Having grown up on a farm Sederstrom has a strong commitment to the environment and its precious resources. Professionally, he has more than nine years of experience working with renewable energy fuels and wind power.

In addition to his Honest-1 Auto Care location in Eagan, all of the brand's shops nationwide are committed to the environment and has partnered with American Forests, the leading nonprofit organization that plants trees for environmental restoration. Honest-1 Auto Care locations nationwide will fund the planting of 60,000 new trees this year through the charitable donation of revenues collected from repair orders, at no additional cost to customers. In 2009, the first year of the partnership, Honest-1 Auto Care planted 40,000 trees and since then Honest-1 has committed to the additional 60,000 trees for a total of 100,000 trees planted in two years!

For customers who are vigilant about regular check-ups and routine maintenance, Honest-1 Auto Care in Eagan could donate several trees on one person's behalf alone. The donated trees will go to forests in the United States that have been severely harmed by wildfire, disease, pests, commercial development and natural disaster.
