Krispy Kreme Franchise Welcomes First Neighborhood Shop in Wake Forest, N.C.

New Store Offers Fresh, Hot Doughnuts and Kool Kreme to Wake Forest and Eastern Wake County

RALEIGH, N.C. /PRNewswire via COMTEX News Network/ -- Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation debuted its newest Neighborhood Shop in Wake Forest, N.C., today, Wednesday, July 7, at 6 a.m.

The Wake Forest community is invited to experience Krispy Kreme's legendary doughnuts at 11721 Retail Drive. The 2,000-square-foot Neighborhood shop includes a drive-thru and features Krispy Kreme's unique product offerings, which include its signature hot Original Glazed(R) doughnuts and other one-of-a-kind doughnut varieties; signature coffees and espresso drinks; and Krispy Kreme Chillers(R) and iced beverages. The new shop also offers Krispy Kreme's Kool Kreme(R) soft serve menu of traditional cones, shakes and specialty doughnut sundaes, paired with a toppings bar.

At 6 a.m. today, grand opening day, the first customer in line received one free dozen Original Glazed(R) doughnuts every week for a year; the next 11 customers each received one free dozen Original Glazed doughnuts each month for a year; and the first 100 customers each received an official Krispy Kreme Wake Forest T-shirt. Complimentary sampling of Krispy Kreme products will take place throughout the day. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, July 7, and will feature the Wake Forest store's general manager, Elle Larue, as well as Krispy Kreme executives, including Cindy Bay and Steve Wymer, market manager for North Carolina. Dignitaries from the Town of Wake Forest, such as Mayor Vivian Jones of Wake Forest, will also participate.

The grand opening celebration will continue on Sunday, July 11, with a Krispy Kreme social from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The Wake Forest Neighborhood Shop, located at 11721 Retail Drive, will operate Sunday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
