Smashburger Franchise Heats Up With Olathe Grand Opening August 3, 2010

July 12, 2010 // Franchising.com // Kansas City, Mo. — Smashburger, a fast-casual "better burger" restaurant will open in Olathe, Kan. on Tuesday, August 3, 2010. Located at 15241 West 119th Street — Smashburger will offer juicy burgers made-to-order with 100-percent Certified Angus Beef, savory Smashchicken sandwiches and crisp Smashsalads as well as an array of Smashsides and delicious Häagan Dazs shakes. Johnson County's first store is located in Overland Park at 6551 W. 119th St.

Smashburger will feature the same tasty regional items as the Overland Park location, including:

• Kansas City Smashburger featuring grilled onions, garlic sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese and haystack onions with A.1. steak sauce on an egg bun.
• KC Hot Link featuring Gates Bar-B-Q sauce, cheddar cheese and haystack onions.
• Smashburger's BBQ, Bacon & Cheese Smashburger and Ranch Chicken Club Smashsalad will feature Gates Bar-B-Q sauce.
• Regional microbrew beers including selections from Boulevard Brewery.

Named for the cooking method used to create the perfect burger, Smashburgers are a one-third or half-pound ball of 100-percent—fresh, not frozen—Certified Angus Beef smashed on a flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. To further the "better burger" experience, Smashburgers are served on a toasted artisan bun and topped with a selection of flavorful cheeses, the freshest produce, and top-quality condiments.

Smashburger is known for its savory burgers, but the restaurant also serves up delicious Smashchicken sandwiches, Smashdogs, and Smashsalads, with sides like veggie frites and rosemary and garlic–seasoned Smashfries. Burger lovers can pair their meals with beer, wine, Häagen-Dazs shakes and root-beer floats.
