LOUIS (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Build-A-Bear Workshop(R), the interactive entertainment retailer of customized stuffed animals, announced today that it is donating more than $144,000 through the Build-A-Bear Workshop Foundation to the USO, which provides morale, welfare and recreational activities to service members and their families. Funds were raised May 3 through June 7, when Guests at Build-A-Bear Workshop retail locations in the United States were invited to make a $1 donation to support the USO. Also during this time frame, members of the armed services and their direct dependents received a 20% discount on any purchase at Build-A-Bear Workshop stores in the United States.

"With the funding raised, we are providing troops with free Internet access, libraries, game rooms, nursery facilities, and other needed services."
