ACE Cash Express Franchise and FiSCA Award College Scholarship to Local Student

DALLAS // PRNewswire // -- In a joint partnership, ACE Cash Express, Inc., a leading retailer of financial services, and Financial Service Centers of America (FiSCA), the national trade association representing the financial service centers industry, presented a $2,000 scholarship check to local student, Danielle Banks.

The June 25 check presentation was held at ACE's corporate office in Irving, Texas where ACE hosted a luncheon for Danielle and her family.

"Today the price of a college education is outrageous and keeps rising," said Danielle. "This scholarship will help pay for my tuition and prevent me from having to take out loans when I attend Texas A&M University. I'm very appreciative and so thankful to be a recipient."

The FiSCA National Scholarship Program awards cash grants to students selected from each of five geographic regions across the nation. Students are selected for these scholarships based on academic achievement, leadership skills in school and the community, perseverance in the face of significant obstacles and an essay written expressly for the competition.

Funding for these scholarships comes from voluntary contributions from FiSCA members. Since inception of the program in 1999, more than $530,000 has been awarded to students across the nation.

ACE Cash Express supports this scholarship program through the ACE Community Fund, the corporate giving program that focuses on children, education and financial literacy. Since inception, the ACE Community Fund has donated more than $4.2 million to charitable organizations throughout the nation.
