Snap Fitness Franchise Adds Experience to Support System's Aggressive Growth

Three New Hires to Help Assist Burgeoning Brand with Growth, Support

August 03, 2010 // Franchising.com // MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Snap Fitness, the world's fastest-growing franchisor of state-of-the-art 24/7 express fitness centers, has added Armin Krienke as Director of Corporate Wellness and Member Benefits, Brandt Schmitz as Online Marketing Manager and John Voskamp as Director of Personal Training. The additions will help the company continue its increasing growth and success and assist franchisees in growing their bottom line.

"As a way to strategically enhance our corporate team, we decided to add three highly motivated employees to further support our rising franchise," said Peter Taunton, Founder and CEO of Snap Fitness. "Snap Fitness is growing and the hiring of Armin, Brant and John adds a wealth of knowledge and strengthening of our infrastructure."

Krienke and Voskamp both bring impressive resumes highlighted by working for fitness clubs for the more than a decade each. Krienke worked with Life Time Fitness for nearly 12 years in both operations and sales capacities. With Snap Fitness, Krienke will create corporate wellness programs that will allow national partners the ability to offer discounted membership rates for their employees, and negotiate new member benefits partnerships designed to give Snap Fitness members even more value.

"I feel extremely fortunate for the opportunity to work with one of the fastest growing fitness franchises in the world," said Krienke. "I look forward to establishing new programs and partnerships both on the national and local levels, to help support our franchisees while giving members more for their money."

Voskamp has worked for the past 18 years in the fitness industry, starting as a fitness instructor while wrestling for the University of Nebraska. Most recently, Voskamp served as COO of Gold's Gym where he also gained extensive experience in club operations and personal training. With Snap Fitness he will assist in building the personal training business with training, resources and programs designed to boost franchisees bottom line.

"Initially, I was drawn to the 24/7, no fuss, no frills concept and the incredible infrastructure Snap Fitness has built around it," Voskamp said. "After starting out as a personal trainer and working all the way up to being a COO of a major fitness company, I look forward to getting back to my roots of personal training. While many of our customers want a quick workout, others are looking for some additional advice and guidance. I will provide the tools for our franchisees to do just that."

Schmitz has more than 11 years in the marketing industry, working with industry leaders such as AdReady and Adfusion, where he helped small businesses build an online presence. With Snap Fitness, Schmitz will provide the franchise with new online marketing channels and the further implementation of social media programs to help round out the organization's marketing plan.

"I am thrilled to be joining the Snap Fitness team," Schmitz said. "Snap Fitness already has an immense online presence and I look forward to implementing new strategies to further assist our franchisees in expanding their hyper-local marketing efforts to better reach their audience. The Snap Fitness brand is stronger than ever, not only in the fitness club industry, but in the franchising industry as well."
