Jeffrey Sherman Rejoins Faegre & Benson Corporate Practice

August 05, 2010 // Franchising.com // Denver - Faegre & Benson is pleased to announce that Jeffrey A. Sherman has returned to the firm's Denver office from Holland & Hart to continue his corporate and public securities practice.

Michael McCarthy, a partner in the Denver office and a member of the firm's management committee, says Faegre & Benson is delighted to welcome Sherman back. "The extensive experience Jeff brings to our top-ranked corporate practice is a win for both our firm and our clients. His reputation and leadership in the community provides substantial value to our Denver and Boulder offices," says McCarthy.

During his career, Sherman worked with many of Colorado's best-known companies, assisting with their most significant transactions. He works extensively with public and private companies on a range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, and commercial transactions. Sherman's practice includes advising public companies on SEC reporting requirements, stock market listing standards, executive compensation issues, disclosure issues, and general corporate governance matters.

Sherman serves an officer in the JAG Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve, where he primarily practices international and operational law. Committed to community involvement, Sherman is an Opera Colorado board member, founding partner of Social Venture Partners Denver, and a volunteer with Operation Homeless Connect Denver. He also recently served as the co-chair of the Business and Securities sections of the Colorado Bar Association.

With more than 115 lawyers, the Faegre & Benson corporate practice handles complex securities, merger and acquisition and other corporate transactions for emerging and established regional, national and international companies. These lawyers also collaborate across the firm to advise clients on issues such as antitrust implications, technology licensing, trade secret protection, due diligence, and employment issues.
