DENVER -(BUSINESS WIRE)- Valley Meat Co. announced Thursday, August 5 a Class I recall of 1 million pounds of beef, potentially contaminated by E. coli, including a line of frozen burgers marketed under a "smashburger" label. This recalled product is in no way related to any Smashburger® restaurants or its products.

Smashburger®'s 100-percent fresh, not frozen Certified Angus Beef is sourced from Detroit-based Wolverine Packing. Smashburger® works closely and confidently with Wolverine Packing to ensure that the most rigorous safety and quality standards are met for our customers.
