Smashburger Franchise Sizzles into Tempe August 25

"Better Burger" Restaurant heats up corner of Rural and Baseline

Tempe, AZ (PRWEB) Smashburger, a fast-casual "better burger" restaurant will open its fourth Phoenix-area location on Wednesday, August 25, 2010. The restaurant will open at 815 E Baseline Road in Tempe and will continue Smashburger's mission to become Phoenix's favorite place for burgers. This is the fourth of thirty Phoenix Smashburgers slated to open over the next six years. The other Phoenix-area Smashburger's are located at 777 S College Avenue in Tempe, 9915 W McDowell Road in Avondale and 1949 E Camelback Road in Phoenix.

Phoenix-area Smashburgers all feature a regional menu created with regional flavors and tastes in mind. The Arizona menu includes:

  • Arizona Smashburger featuring a one-third or half-pound burger topped with habanero cheese, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, onion, chipotle mayo and fresh jalapenos on a chipotle bun
  • Arizona Devil Dog topped with habanero cheese, guacamole, fresh jalapenos, spicy chipotle sauce and tomatoes all on a Hebrew National 100% beef hotdog and a lightly toasted poppy seed bun
  • The Arizona Cobb salad featuring diced chicken breast, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, red onions, crisp romaine and iceberg lettuce, with spicy chipotle sauce and topped with guacamole and fresh jalapenos
  • Cactus vanilla shake featuring Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream and a prickly pear syrup

Named for the cooking method used to create the perfect burger, Smashburgers are a one-third or half-pound ball of 100-percent—fresh, not frozen, Certified Angus Beef smashed on a flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. To further the "better burger" experience, Smashburgers are served on a toasted artisan bun and topped with a selection of flavorful cheeses, the freshest produce and top-quality condiments.

Smashburger is known for its savory burgers, but the restaurant also serves up delicious Smashchicken sandwiches, Smashdogs and Smashsalads, with sides like veggie frites and rosemary and garlic–seasoned Smashfries. Burger lovers can pair their meals with beer, wine, Häagen-Dazs shakes, and root-beer floats.

"The response to the first three Phoenix locations has been very enthusiastic," says Smashburger Founder Tom Ryan. "We look forward to continuing our expansion in the Phoenix market with the addition of the new Tempe store."

"Since the opening of our first location in Tempe, it has become clear that Phoenix residents crave 'better burgers'," says Kurt Riske, Brand Manager for SunWest. "We are eager to spread the burger love with our fourth location."
