Rochester Office Managing Partner Reappointed Chair of Council; Nixon Peabody's Scott Turner Continues Involvement with The College at Brockport

Rochester, NY. Law firm Nixon Peabody LLP is pleased to announce that Rochester office managing partner Scott M. Turner has been reappointed chair of the College Council of The College at Brockport, State University of New York, by New York Governor David Paterson for a seven-year term. Mr. Turner was first appointed to the College Council in 1997 and named chair in 2004.

Mr. Turner, one of the founders of Nixon Peabody's environmental practice, represents energy and industrial clients in permitting new facilities in New York State and across the United States. He is an active member of the Rochester community, serving on a number of boards, including those of Unity Health System and the Rochester Historical Society. Mr. Turner earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif, and received his bachelor's degree from Colgate University.
