Tanworld Franchise Gives Back with Community Service Project Assisting Local Schools

TWI franchising, Inc. (dba tanworld) one of the leading professional indoor tanning franchises in the US, is getting a fantastic response to their "Back to School Supplies Drive" , a community service project aimed at assisting local schools.

La Vista, NE (Vocus) TWI Franchising, Inc. (dba tanworld), one of the leading professional indoor tanning franchises in the US, is getting a fantastic response to their 'Back to School Supplies Drive.' Pam Elbert, who owns a tanworld franchise in Urbandale, Iowa, kicked off the program in her salon earlier this month. The drive asks for customers to donate unopened items such as glue sticks, notebooks, boxes of pencils and other school related supplies to her location. In return, the customers are given a free tan on a Comfort Level tanning system or an upgrade to a Elite Level tanning system. The supplies were being dropped off at one local school. Now, due to the program's success, the items are being divided between three local schools.

Elbert is ecstatic with the results. "We wanted to do something to increase our community involvement and this is such a rewarding program. Although our current contribution is with just a few schools, it is still important to be involved in the community. It's a great feeling to know that you have helped," said Elbert. Holly Brooks is one of Elbert's tanworld customers. "Anytime that you can give back to the community and support our children it's a great thing", said Brooks. "These kids are our future and it's a joy to see Pam's involvement," commented Brooks as she was dropping off supplies and claiming her upgraded tanning experience.

Cheri Cosgrove, president and CEO of TWI Franchising, is also excited about the program. "Pam Elbert personifies one of the many ways that our franchisees are integrated within their specific community and I'm thrilled at her success," said Cosgrove.
