John F. Bowie is Named President, US Operations of Church's Chicken Franchise

ATLANTA - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Church's Chicken announced today that John F. Bowie has joined the company as President, US operations for the globally recognized QSR chain. John will be responsible for overseeing all company and franchise restaurants operations. He joins a team of veteran industry leaders who have been hired over the last year to support the brand's growth and retail initiatives.

Most recently, John Bowie served since 2007 as Senior Vice President, restaurant operations at Friendly's Ice Cream Corporation. He was responsible for the overall operations of more than 500 restaurants with a strategic focus on improving operational efficiency and improving quality, service and cleanliness that delivered significant gains in customer satisfaction.

Prior to Friendly's, John was with Wendy's International for 13 years where he held positions in marketing, international and general management. In his position as divisional Vice President, Mid-Atlantic, he was responsible for 700 company and franchise restaurants generating close to $1 billion in sales.

John Bowie is a graduate of the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University where he received his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
