UNO(R) Announces Complete Menu Revamp
New Options Give Guests Greater Control and More Choices
BOSTON, Sept. 13 // PRNewswire // -- UNO® is going way deeper than pizza with a new menu that offers guests more options and more control when it comes to creating a dining experience that's just right for them!

The new menu has been redesigned with easy-to-find icons to help quickly guide diners to items that meet their needs. For example, menu items denoted with a lightning bolt are quickly delivered, and those with a chef's hat are among UNO's signature favorites (like Rattlesnake Pasta), while those with a tomato denote a "mindful" choice. Dubbed America's Healthiest Chain Restaurant, UNO's mindful choices are as flavorful as they are good for you.
The new menu is also more adventurous than traditional chain restaurants with choices like Farro Salad, which is a side dish made from this ancient whole grain with diced tomatoes, cucumbers and balsamic vinaigrette; it's tasty and healthy. Or, for those who like bold flavors, there is a new Chicken Tikka Masala, inspired by classic Tandoori cooking with 'masala' (mixture of spices). UNO's tomato-based sauce features a mix of robust spices including ginger, cumin, coriander, cardamom and turmeric. The dish is served with whole grain brown rice with Ocean Spray® sweetened dried cranberries and roasted vegetables.

From indulgent to mindful, from deeper, more intense, more interesting flavors to traditional 'comfort food' signatures, there is something for everyone at UNO," said President and CEO Frank Guidara. Menu items also focus on freshness, such as hand-formed burgers, house-made guacamole and deep dish pizza. UNO has also incorporated a number of better-quality ingredients in its dishes including an emphasis on all-natural elements as evidenced in UNO's marinara sauce, thin pizza crusts, turkey breast and Norwegian Salmon.
Delicious new chopped salads include a Chopped Power Salad with chicken breast, spinach, plum tomatoes, carrots, feta, red grapes, goji berries (high in antioxidants), Thompson raisins, soy nuts, almonds, pepitas and Ocean Spray® Sweetened Dried Cranberries, served with fat free vinaigrette. The Hong Kong Sesame-Lime Chicken features Napa and green cabbage, lime-marinated chicken breast, won ton strips and field greens tossed in soy-ginger vinaigrette and topped with fresh cilantro and sesame seeds.
Diners have more choices than ever to customize their experience. For example, diners can substitute Barilla® whole grain penne for any of UNO's other pastas. When it comes to UNO's signature pizza, guests can choose an indulgent deep dish, or go with an all-natural thin crust in a choice of five grain or traditional. The five grain has 9 grams of fiber and is made with whole wheat, toasted wheat germ, oat bran, sesame seeds and ground flax seed. UNO is also the first national casual-dining restaurant chain to offer gluten-free pizza in three varieties including pepperoni, cheese and tomato, and veggie.
While it all sounds delicious, guests should be sure to save room for dessert. The new Bread Pudding with Salty Caramel Sauce is a simple, but delicious, baked dessert served warm with vanilla ice cream and topped with a memorable salty and sweet caramel sauce.
